Scholarship Details

MOH Holdings is the holding company of Singapore’s public healthcare clusters and agencies –National Healthcare Group (NHG), National University Health System (NUHS), Singapore Health Services (SingHealth) and agencies such as Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) and Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS)

We partner the Ministry of Health, the three integrated healthcare clusters, AIC and IHiS in building a strong talent pipeline for Singapore’s public healthcare sector. 

Mid-Term Healthcare Scholarship

The Mid-Term Healthcare Scholarship is offered to outstanding students currently pursuing a Diploma in Nursing at a local polytechnic, or pursuing a relevant health science degree at local universities, or MOHH-approved overseas universities. It can be awarded in the form of either Healthcare Merit Award (HMA) or a Healthcare Merit Scholarship (HMS).


• Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents intending to take up Singapore Citizenship                                                      • Keen passion to make a difference in public healthcare                                                                    
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Have completed at least one semester of studies in relevant Health Science disciplines at local universities, local polytechnics and reputable overseas universities                                                                                
• Possess good results and is on track to graduate with Diploma with Merit (for polytechnic students) or Second Class (Upper) Honours (for undergraduates)
• Good CCA records     

Value of Scholarships

• Tuition fees and other approved charges
• Monthly maintenance allowance from point of scholarship award
• Exposure and development opportunities during course of study such as exchange programmes, seminars, attachments
• Backpayment of tuition fees from Year 1 of study 
• Return economy airfare 
• Sponsorship for MOHH approved student exchange programmes, seminars and conferences                            
• Distinction award (for scholars who graduate with at least Second Class (Upper) Honours or equivalent)
• Tuition fees and other approved charges
• Monthly maintenance allowance from point of scholarship award 
• Hostel fees (if applicable)
• Sponsorship for MOHH approved student exchange programmes, seminars and conferences 
• Backpayment of tuition fees from Year 1 of study
• Distinction award (for scholars who graduate with at least Second Class (Upper) Honours or equivalent)

Bond Duration

• Overseas Studies: 6 years
• Local Studies: 4 years
