Scholarship Details

MOH Holdings is the holding company of Singapore’s public healthcare clusters and agencies –National Healthcare Group (NHG), National University Health System (NUHS), Singapore Health Services (SingHealth) and agencies such as Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) and Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS).

We partner the Ministry of Health, the three integrated healthcare clusters, AIC and IHiS in building a strong talent pipeline for Singapore’s public healthcare sector.

Degree Conversion Healthcare Scholarship

The Degree Conversion Healthcare Scholarship is offered to outstanding third-year diploma holders or recent diploma graduates in the relevant healthcare disciplines who are keen to pursue a degree conversion course at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) or MOHH-approved overseas universities. It is awarded either in the form of a Healthcare Merit Award (HMA) or Healthcare Merit Scholarship (HMS).

Requirement

• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident who will take up Singapore citizenship before embarking on studies
• Achieve outstanding academic results, expecting to graduate with at least a diploma with merit/distinction
• Have good co-curricular activities record and strong leadership qualities
• Have a passion for public healthcare and excellent communication skills
• Must not be under any existing sponsorship bond with any of the public healthcare institutions

Value of Scholarships

• Tuition and compulsory fees
• Monthly allowance
• Pre-study allowance
• Return economy airfare (for overseas study only)
• Clinical placement allowance (for overseas study only)
• Sponsorship for approved developmental programmes
• Commencement award
• Distinction award (for scholars who graduate with at least Second Class (Upper) Honours or equivalent)

Bond Duration

Local: 3 years (for 1 year of study), 4 years (for 2 years of study)
 

For HMS:

  • Local: 4 years (for 1 year / 2 years of study)
  • Overseas: 6 years (for 1 year / 2 years of study)


For HMA:

  • Local: 2 years (for 1 year of study), 3 years (for 2 years of study)
