The SAF Engineering Scholarship is for aspiring engineers-to-be with the interest and commitment to join the SAF as Military Experts. You will form the next generation of leaders in our engineering corps who will catalyse the next phase of development of the SAF.
As military engineers, you will assume a range of challenging engineering appointments in MINDEF/SAF. There are also opportunities for you to be rotated in the wider defence technology ecosystem to build up engineering expertise and gain exposure to cutting-edge defence technologies.
• Singapore citizens or permanent residents intending to take up citizenship.
• Good GCE ‘A’ Levels or International Baccalaureate (IB) results, Polytechnic Diploma (with Merit) or equivalent
• Good co-curricular activities (CCA) records
• Strong leadership qualities
• Qualify for and excel in Officer Cadet School (OCS)
• Possess a strong interest in a military engineering career
Overseas Studies
• Monthly salary for the duration of studies
• Tuition fees and other approved academic charges
• Overseas maintenance and other allowances e.g. books, computer
• Return economy airfare
• One-time sponsorship for summer exchange programme
• Sponsorship for up to 6 years of studies, inclusive of Master’s (conditions apply)
Local Studies
• Monthly salary for the duration of studies
• Tuition fees and other approved academic charges
• Book allowance
• Computer allowance
• Hostel fees, if any (based on twin-sharing rates)
• One-time sponsorship for summer exchange programme
• Sponsorship for up to 6 years of studies, inclusive of Master’s (conditions apply)
Bond:
• Overseas English Speaking Countries: 6 years
• Overseas Non-English Speaking Countries: 5 years
• Singapore: 4 years (with/without Master’s; Double Degrees) from the point of resumption of service upon graduation
