The SMU Global Impact Scholarship Award is a premier flagship scholarship that is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of leaders committed to helping to solve complex global and local challenges, thus making an impact on society.
Global Impact Scholars will hone their critical thinking abilities through SMU’s acclaimed interactive pedagogy and technology-enhanced learning methods. They will also enjoy extensive opportunities for global experience programmes, as well as benefit from an exclusive, specially designed Scholars’ Core Curriculum.
• Singapore Citizens
• Possess outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ level, local Polytechnic Diploma, International Baccalaureate Diploma, NUS High School Diploma or equivalent qualifications
• Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and potential
• Possess excellent record in co-curricular and/or community activities
• Be applying for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme at SMU
S$130,800 (non-Law) and S$135,600 (Law)
Tuition fee waiver (after MOE Tuition Grant Subsidy)
• S$5,000 annual living allowance
• $9,000 Enhanced Flexibility Grant to enhance student’s university experience. This grant can be utilised for on-campus accommodation at Prinsep Street Residences, support an overseas exchange, or utilised for approved professional certifications, offering flexibility to cover key expenses during their studies.
• Funding for an optional concurrent or sequential SMU Master’s programme up to S$40,000
• S$1,800 one-time computer allowance upon enrolment
• S$14,000 Global Learning Opportunities Worldwide (GLOW) grant to fund part or a combination of the following:
– Overseas Student Exchange/Summer Programmes
– Overseas Community Service Projects
– Overseas School Study Missions
– Overseas Case Competitions and Presentations at Conferences
• Participation in development opportunities offered by the Student Success Centre
• Scholarship is bond-free
