
The Loke Cheng-Kim Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships invite applications from Singapore citizens or permanent residents admitted to Master’s or Doctoral programmes at established local or overseas universities for the 2026/2027 academic year. Targeting candidates in Pure Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Geography, the scholarship seeks individuals dedicated to advancing conservation, sustainable development, and natural heritage. Applicants must demonstrate strong academic achievement, relevant professional or research experience, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to their field, supported by a personal statement outlining career goals and research interests. The award covers tuition fees, books, research materials, maintenance allowance, and for overseas scholars, settling-in costs and return airfare, tenable for the full duration of study subject to satisfactory progress.
• Applicants should be Singapore citizens or permanent residents, should not be current holders of other scholarship awards or grants and where applicable have received the consent of an academic faculty member as thesis supervisor
• Individuals who are committed to advancing knowledge and practice in conservation, sustainable development and the enhancement of our natural heritage. Whether as researchers, innovators, educators, or field specialists, applicants should demonstrate a clear vision for contributing meaningfully to the betterment of life on earth in all its dimensions.
• Candidates must present a strong record of academic achievement and relevant professional or research experience. Selection will favour those who exhibit independent thought and intellectual curiosity, a sustained and demonstrable commitment to their chosen field, and engagement in activities, research, or initiatives beyond formal academic requirements.
Scholarship’s annual value will cover fees, book and research material allowances, maintenance allowance and in the case of overseas awards, an initial settling-in allowance and one-time return economy class airfare.
