
SPH Media and Temasek Foundation share an interest in building up a core group of talented journalists with knowledge of Singapore and the region. We invite young people with an interest in pursuing journalism as a career to apply for a bond-free scholarship aimed at developing news media professionals, to secure the future of credible journalism as a public good.
• Singaporean and Asean Youths who are
1) commencing full-time undergraduate studies in 2026 OR
2) currently pursuing full-time undergraduate degrees at either of the following institutions:
Nanyang Technological University
– Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information
– Public Policy and Global Affairs
National University of Singapore
– Department of Communications and New Media
– Economics and Data Science
– Political Science
• Excellent academic record, including A-level (or equivalent) results and be on track for graduation with at least a CGPA of 4.0 out of 5.0 (for applicants who are currently pursuing full-time degrees)
• Strong leadership qualities as demonstrated in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) and National Service (if applicable)
• Keen interest in news and current affairs
• Strong communication and written language skills
• Enrolment in journalism and/or multimedia content creation modules
Scholarship Coverage
Financial Support:

Post-Graduation Opportunity:
• Post-graduation traineeship at SPH Media newsrooms for 1 year upon completion of studies
