SgIS offers you an opportunity to kick-start your career with one of the sponsoring organisations from Singapore’s strategic sectors.
While pursuing your undergraduate studies, you can get an early start in personal and professional development through the SgIS Scholars’ Development and Engagement Programme. Through this programme, you get to:
– Develop core skills through structured and continual learning.
– Interact with leaders from the public and private sectors, allowing you to gain valuable insights about the industry you are interested in.
– Get to know other SgIS scholars and share your experiences.
SgIS Full-Term:
Singapore Citizens who have:
– Been admitted or seeking admission to a local university for a full-time undergraduate degree, excluding healthcare-related disciplines.
– Good GCE A-Level certification, Polytechnic Diploma, International Baccalaureate Diploma or NUS High School Diploma.
– Good co-curricular activities (CCA) records and leadership achievements.
– Passion to contribute to Singapore’s strategic sectors.
SgIS Mid-Term (Local):
Singapore Citizens who have:
– Completed at least 1 academic semester in a local university (NTU, NUS, SIT, SMU, SUSS or SUTD) and are not in their final year of study.
– Good co-curricular activities (CCA) records and leadership achievements.
– Passion to contribute to Singapore’s strategic sectors.
– Good undergraduate results.
SgIS Mid-Term (Overseas):
Singapore Citizens who have:
– Completed at least 1 academic semester in an overseas university and are not in their final year of study.
– Good co-curricular activities (CCA) records and leadership achievements.
– Passion to contribute to Singapore’s strategic sectors.
– Good undergraduate results.
SgIS Full-Term:
• Scholarship will cover full tuition fees and approved academic charges as well as allowance for living expenses and overseas exchange.
• Bond period will be 4 years for scholars from NTU, NUS, SMU, SUSS, SUTD and 3 years for scholars from SIT.
SgIS Mid-Term(Local) and (Overseas):
Scholars will receive a grant, depending on the number of academic years remaining at the point of application.
For SgIS Full-Term and SgIS Mid-Term (Local):
• Open to any full-time undergraduate degree (excluding healthcare-related disciplines) in a local Autonomous University.
For SgIS Mid-Term (Overseas):
• Open to any full-time undergraduate degree (excluding healthcare related disciplines) in any overseas university
